Mori Mori is the project of Latvian born musician and artist Glebs Pridbailo. Across four years of creative practice, Mori’s work has undergone a significant evolution, marked by a consistent focus on lyricism and vocal processing that ties his projects together. From the lo-fi ambient texture experimentation of his debut project Aurora (Neoplasm, 2021) to the dystopian anthems of Birds & I (Xquisite Releases, 2023), Mori has continually redefined his approach to pop music. 

His latest record BB Void (Xpone, 2024) reimagines pop conventions through a raw, textural lens. Drawing from influences of cloud rap and alternative guitar music, BB Void unfolds as a shadowy counterpart to pop — raw, muddy, yet emotionally rich and direct. Leeching off the quintessential ideas of pop, such as its approach to lyricism, track composition and the frequent genre-message of portraying an ideal, perfect, care-free world, Mori takes these ideas, completely inverting and twisting them, creating a paranoiac doppelganger. Often doing so through dictaphone-like vocal processing, heavily distorted guitar chords and overdriven beats.
